- Here's how to use it: Clean: Thoroughly clean the surface with a universal surface cleaner and rinse with water. Sand: Sand the surface with P180 - P320 grit sandpaper and clean again. Shake: Shake the can for 1 minute before use. Apply: Apply 2-3 medium coats with a 5-10 minute flash time between each coat. Dry: Allow the primer to dry for 1 hour. Sand Again: Sand the final coat with 320-400 grit sandpaper for a smooth finish.
