• DURABLE: Ice Alert Indicator casing is made from medical grade polycarbonate which is the same material used to manufacture bullet-proof glass, so you don’t have to worry about the indicator’s plastic shell cracking or breaking in below freezing temperatures. IceAlert Indicators are 6" in diameter and have mounting holes top and bottom center to attach to a sign or delineator post.
• INSTALLATION: It is recommended to install the sign in a shaded area and away from direct sunlight which can affect the temperature-sensitive indication. 6" indicator has a stainless steel anti-theft plate with pre-drilled holes top and bottom for mounting.
• SAFETY ALERT: Prevent accidents by alerting motorists of oncoming freezing road conditions which are hard to gauge from a distance. These indicators can be placed on delineator posts and used in a series (based on traffic sign rules) to protect bridge approaches, mountain roads, etc.
• HASSLE-FREE INDICATOR: Thermostatic bi-metal coil indicator wheel changes from silver to blue signaling freezing temperatures, or the potential for ice. The star pattern design on the waterproof indicator reflects silver at temperature above 37° F. When temperatures are 32° or below it reflects a blue star. Indicator does not require any wiring, electronics, batteries or chemicals.
